About the Lawyer Referral Service and How it Works
Established in 1964 by the Maricopa County Bar Association, we handle over 100,000 calls each year from people seeking legal advice. Our many years of experience in matching people with the right attorney means our knowledgeable staff can help you find the help you need.
Over 250 attorneys from all over the county belong to the Lawyer Referral Service panel, and they are experienced in a wide range of areas of law (see right).
What We Do
Find the lawyer that best fits your needs.
- Set up a 30-minute legal consultation with an attorney for you upon payment of a $40 administrative fee. There is no fee for personal injury or workers' compensation matters.
- Refer you to a licensed attorney, not a paralegal or document preparer.
- Refer you to an experienced professional in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association.
- Schedule an appointment with a lawyer located near your work or home whenver possible. Or, if you choose, we can arrange a phone consultation.
How It Works
- Fill out our online request form (coming soon) or call (602) 257-4434 to talk to an interviewer about the nature of your problem.
- Once the $40 payment is processed, our interviewer contacts the right attorney for you and schedules your 30-minute consultation.
- The interviewer then calls you to confirm the time and date of your appointment.
It's That Easy!
You pay only the $40 referral fee (or nothing if it's a personal injury or workers' comp matter) for a consultation. Any additional legal services you may require beyond the 30-minute consultation is determined by you and the attorney.
