Who We Are
Founded in 1983, the MCBF is the charitable arm of the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA). Each year the Board of Trustees awards grants to organizations and projects which support the mission of the Foundation. The work of the MCBF is a tribute to the concern, commitment and generosity of Maricopa County's lawyers toward their community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Maricopa County Bar Foundation (MCBF) is to raise and distribute funds to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Arizona, with a focus on programs that relate to the administration of justice, ethics in the legal profession, legal assistance for the needy, the encouragement of legal research, publications and forums, and the education of the public.
How We Help
Over the past 25 years, the MCBF has awarded $515,000 in grants to worthy organizations and programs which which help meet the legal needs of the community. Access to justice for disadvantaged citizens has been the Foundation's highest priority, followed by legal education for a wide range of audiences. The MCBF also works with other organizations within the community and contributes sponsorship dollars to their fundraising efforts.
How You Can Help Us
Foundation's success would not be possible without the generous financial support of the community, and the legal community in particular. There are a number of ways that you can help support the work of the Foundation, including arbitration fee donation and automatic dues check off.

Donate Small Arbitration Fee, Make a Big Difference
Working in partnership with the Maricopa County Superior Court, the Maricopa County Bar Foundation (MCBF) is once again encouraging attorneys assigned to arbitration to donate the $75 fee to the foundation's fundraising efforts.
The court has made it easy to contribute with a convenient Pro Bono check-off box located at the bottom of the Invoice in Support of Request for Warrant, a form provided in your arbitration packet. (Also available for downloading here.)
When an attorney checks the Pro Bono option, the arbitration fee is automatically forwarded to the foundation, where it helps fund our grant-giving program.
The foundation's Board of Trustees asks all attorneys assigned to arbitration to remember the work of the foundation when filling out their forms, and offer a thank you to all who have donated their fees in the past.
