Special Event with the Peoria Municipal Court

3.5 hours of CLE with 1.0 of Ethics!

Please try and register before March 8th.

Sports Law has established itself as a subject matter at national law schools, involving issues ranging from antitrust, intellectual property, labor law, player negotiations, to the emerging awareness of player conduct, drug testing, and domestic violence. This program is intended to provide the general practitioner and specialist with an overview of important topics in both professional baseball and basketball along with a background of contract and antitrust law.

The panel of speakers will include Prof. Gabe Feldman, Tulane University Law School, Ms. Melissa Ann Goldenberg, General Counsel for the Phoenix Suns, and Hon. George T. Anagnost, Peoria Municipal Court.

Prof. Feldman is a nationally known author, commentator, and teacher on all aspects of professional sports. He has written for Sports Illustrated, ESPN, the NFL Network, and major league baseball. He teaches both sports law and antitrust law at Tulane. Ms. Goldenberg has presented many times about the nature of legal representation and compliance in advising a professional team.

The all-inclusive registration fee of $100.00 will provide parking, the session, buffet lunch, and ticket admission to the game starting at 1:15. This promises to be a rewarding presentation that will describe how sports and the law intersect. We know you will enjoy it.
