Learn how to assess the client’s options in both juvenile and family court to determine which type of action will best meet the client’s goals and long term needs. This will include a discussion about implications for third parties/in loco parentis, grounds for and best interest factors for pursuing severance.

The court has issued two important opinions in private severances in the last twelve months. The seminar will include an overview of case law applicable to private severances and the implications of the new case law.
